Sales Associate / Barista

Position Overview

We are looking for a passionate and energetic individual to join our Bakery Café team at our Fraser Street location. As a Sales Associate / Barista, you will be the welcoming face of our café, creating memorable experiences for our guests by crafting quality beverages and offering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Care: Greet and assist customers in a friendly, warm, and professional manner.
• Beverage & Food Preparation: Craft coffee, espresso drinks, teas, sandwiches, and bakery items according to company standards and food safety guidelines.
• Merchandising & Inventory: Package bakery goods with care, restock displays, and rotate inventory using the FIFO (First-In, First-Out) method.
• POS Transactions: Process cash, debit, credit, and electronic payments accurately.
• Cleanliness & Safety: Maintain clean workstations, dining spaces, and equipment while upholding food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Teamwork: Work closely with team members to ensure smooth operations and report any equipment or product quality issues to management promptly.

Qualifications & Skills

• Certifications: FoodSafe Level 1 (Required).
• Experience: Previous bakery or coffee shop experience is an asset.
• Customer Focus: Outstanding communication, interpersonal skills, and a customer-first mindset.
• Work Ethic: Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
• Physical Requirements: Comfortable performing physical and repetitive daily café duties.
