Building Stronger Communities Together At Acsenda School of Management, we are proud to support the Vancouver Aboriginal Child and Family Services Society (VACFSS) through our annual Silent Auction. VACFSS is dedicated to providing culturally grounded, inclusive services that protect and support Indigenous children and families in our community.
Through this initiative, we aim to raise awareness and funds to help VACFSS continue their vital work. Our commitment to fostering community connections aligns with their mission to empower families and create brighter futures. Every bid in our Silent Auction contributes to meaningful change—helping to strengthen families, preserve Indigenous cultural identity, and build a more inclusive society.
In collaboration with Coast Salish artist Darren Yelton, we´re auctioning an Indigenous Sun Mask Carving to benefit the Vancouver Aboriginal Child and Family Services (VACFSS) Developing Gifts for our Children Fund.
Acsenda School of Management, a Vancouver-based degree-granting institution, celebrates its 20th anniversary this November 2024. Specializing in programs connecting people and professions, Acsenda has been at the forefront of education, shaping global leaders in the heart of Vancouver. From humble beginnings to a vibrant and diverse higher-education institution, Acsenda is dedicated to fostering connections and providing a world-class education that prepares students to succeed in an ever-evolving global marketplace.
Acsenda was one of the first independent institutions awarded consent to offer degrees under the Degree Authorization Act of 2002. Its degrees are offered under the written consent of the Minister of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills; having undergone a quality assessment process through the BC Degree Quality Assessment Board (DQAB). Acsenda has consistently exceeded these requirements and expectations and has come to be known for the quality of its graduates who contribute to Canadian and international economies.
Acsenda’s history has been a testament to the role of a successful approach to higher education, working closely with business sectors as partners in providing innovation in educational programming to address the needs of Canada and the global economy. Acsenda School of Management began as Sprott Shaw Degree College in 2004, with the launch of the Bachelor of Business Administration Degree program. Sprott Shaw College, a long-standing BC institution was founded in 1903. Sprott Shaw Degree College rebranded in 2013 to Acsenda School of Management to emphasize the degree-level education it provides. The Bachelor of Hospitality Management was launched in 2016. Acsenda continues its commitment to “connect people and professions” through its pathways and partnerships with professional organizations, including the Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA), the Chartered Professionals in Human Resources of BC and Yukon (CPHR), the Forum for International Trade Training (FITT), the Canadian Institute of Traffic and Transportation (CITT) and the Canadian Institute of Management (CIM).
Today, Acsenda is part of the BPP Education Group, a UK-based professional and academic education provider in law, business, finance, accountancy, banking,
Technology, data and healthcare disciplines, which includes BPP University, one of the largest law schools in the UK. Founded almost 50 years ago, BPP delivers real-world, relevant, and innovative education programs.
On November 20th, Acsenda celebrates its accomplishments and the success of its graduates. According to ASM President Dr. Neil Mort:

On November 20, 2024, the Acsenda School of Management (ASM) proudly hosted its 20th Anniversary Gala, a landmark celebration of two decades of academic excellence, community growth, and student success.
