Role Overview

Solaris Management Consultants Inc. is seeking an Intermediate Financial Accountant to join our accounting team, with a primary focus on supporting our Mexico operations. In this role, you will handle full-cycle accounting functions, financial reporting, and cross-border regulatory compliance, working closely with multidisciplinary teams across Canada and Mexico.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute full-cycle accounting activities, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Manage regulatory compliance, reporting, and statutory filings for Mexico operations, including IMSS, SAT, and REPSE requirements.
  • Coordinate cross-border tax compliance, payroll accounting, and statutory documentation.
  • Conduct detailed financial variance analysis and prepare management reporting packages.
  • Collaborate with internal operational teams and external partners across regions to ensure smooth financial workflows.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 5 years focused on Mexican tax regulations, statutory compliance, payroll processes, and REPSE.
  • Language Skills: Professional bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal) is required for cross-regional stakeholder communication.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, lookup functions, data filtering, and charts) and standard ERP/accounting software.
  • Competencies: Strong analytical precision, high regard for data confidentiality, self-motivation, and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
