Dr. Andy Basi, SVP of the Academic Council at Acsenda School of Management.

Dr. Andy Basi is a seasoned academic leader with over 12 years of experience in education, healthcare, and leadership development. Holding a Doctorate in Educational Leadership (Ed.D) and an MBA, he has excelled in senior roles such as Associate Dean at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT), where he managed 15 health programs and a team of 80+ faculty and staff. Dr. Basi is passionate about enhancing the quality of education and healthcare services, focusing on strategic planning, innovation, and fostering diversity. He is also an experienced educator, teaching leadership and healthcare administration courses at institutions like University Canada West and Canadian College. Committed to excellence and continuous improvement, Dr. Basi has a proven track record in optimizing operations, driving innovation, and inspiring leadership within organizations.

President

President Neil Mort has served in the British Columbia post-secondary educational community for over 30 years. He joined Acsenda School of Management in 2017. Neil has an extensive and diverse background in higher education administration with a particular emphasis on international education. He had a key role in establishing two new post-secondary institutions in British Columbia. His involvement and leadership also include serving as a member of the Board for BCCIE (BC Council for International Education), as a member of the Council for BCCAT (BC Council on Admissions and Transfer), and founding Chair of the Private Degree-Granting Institutions Association. Neil holds a Doctorate of Education from Western University, an MBA in Educational Administration from Royal Roads University; a Master of Arts in Administration, Curriculum, and Instruction from Gonzaga University; and a BA in International Relations from the University of British Columbia. In his career, Neil has focused on student development and leadership, community development on campus and facilitating domestic and international transfer credit processes. Born and raised in the Vancouver area, Neil is active in community service projects, youth sports coaching and Rotary International. He has also travelled extensively throughout the world.
