On behalf of everyone at Acsenda School of Management it is a great pleasure to share the news that Sir John Daniel has been included in the Governor General’s new year list of recipients of the Order of Canada. Sir John’s appointment at the level of Officer of the Order of Canada is particularly distinguished and reflects the special recognition of his services to Canada and internationally – particularly in the areas of open and distance education. Sir John serves on the Academic Council here at Acsenda School of Management as well as on the CIBT Advisory Board (our parent company). He will be giving the next lecture in the Acsenda School of Management Distinguished Lecture Series on January 13th at the Acsenda campus. His topic will be “Leading Higher Education in Turbulent Times”. I know that all of you join me in extending our congratulations and best wishes to a distinguished colleague.
