• Position Type: Part-Time (Approx. 24 hours/week)
• Schedule: Daytime shifts ranging between 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM and 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Weekend availability required)

Position Overview

Times Square Suites Hotel is seeking a dedicated, versatile, and energetic Houseperson / Housekeeper to maintain the cleanliness, comfort, and upkeep of our small boutique hotel. This dynamic role encompasses caring for the property both inside and outside—combining traditional suite housekeeping, common area maintenance, light facility upkeep, and direct guest assistance.

Key Responsibilities

Housekeeping & Suite Care

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest suites, including bedrooms, living rooms, and fully equipped kitchens.
• Change bedding, make beds, and restock guest amenities (towels, toiletries, coffee, and tea).
• Clean common areas, hallways, the rooftop patio, and the exterior perimeter of the building.
• Assist housekeeping staff with transporting linens to/from the laundry facility, clearing room garbage, and moving furniture as needed.

Facilities & Light Maintenance

• Clean and maintain outdoor gas BBQs year-round.
• Perform light maintenance tasks, including cleaning fans, using basic tools to repair suite cupboards, and applying touch-up paint.
• Monitor, track, and manage inventory for cleaning products and guest amenities.
• Keep supply rooms fully stocked with fresh towels, linens, and guest essentials.

Guest Services & Support

• Serve as a friendly, welcoming presence for hotel guests.
• Assist guests with TV operation, general hotel questions, and luggage/bellman support.
• Provide proactive, helpful service to ensure an exceptional stay for every guest.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Work Authorization: Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Language: Functional spoken and written English communication skills.
• Availability: Flexible to work daytime shifts (between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM), including mandatory weekend availability.
• Physical Fitness: Good physical health and endurance, capable of performing heavy lifting, standing, bending, and walking throughout the day.
• Interpersonal Skills: Warm, people-oriented demeanor with a clear commitment to customer service.
• Problem-Solving & Initiative: Adaptable team player who can troubleshoot issues independently, learn on the job, and collaborate effectively with a small team.
