Adam Farrell, Director of Library, Information and Instructional Services
Acsenda School of Management is pleased to announce the appointment of Adam Farrell to a new position, Director of Library, Information and Instructional Services, at Acsenda School of Management (ASM) effective August 5, 2014.
Reporting to the President and Vice Chancellor, Adam brings a wide range of experience and skills that will be immensely helpful in enhancing our services to students, faculty and staff at ASM.
Adam has a Master’s degree in Library Science and Information Studies, a second master’s degree in Archival Studies, and a BA in English from the University of British Columbia. He comes to us from University Canada West where he served as Director of Library and Information Services for five years. During his tenure at UCW, he significantly improved and expanded library resources and services and contributed to the development of the universities systems, policies and practices. Previously, his experience included positions such as Manager for Compliance Coordination at a private college, Librarian for the Art Institute of Vancouver, and Librarian for the West Vancouver Memorial Library.
Adam’s talents are such that his role will encompass a wide range of responsibilities. These responsibilities include overseeing the planning, building and operation of library services and resources including the ongoing support to and training of students and faculty; development and innovative use of technology for teaching and learning; leading our digital initiatives, including managing and mitigation of technology issues; ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements; and serving as the Privacy Officer for ASM.
