International Women’s Day (IWD) is a global event dedicated to celebrating the achievements of women and advocating for gender equality. This year, on March 8, 2025, we unite under the theme #AccelerateAction, a call to push forward with meaningful and rapid progress towards closing the gender gap.
The Urgency of Gender Parity
Despite decades of advancements, gender equality remains a distant goal. According to the World Economic Forum, at the current pace, it may take until 2158 , over five generations , to achieve full gender parity. This statistic reminds us that while progress has been made, much work remains. Gender inequality continues to affect women in education, employment, leadership opportunities, and beyond.
