Human Resources West Coast Case Competition

Acsenda School of Management’s InnoVision HR Team Shines at the 2025 Human Resources West Coast Case Competition

Acsenda School of Management is thrilled to celebrate the remarkable efforts of our InnoVision HR team, who represented the institution with exceptional professionalism and determination at the Human Resources West Coast Case Competition (HRC West), held on March 14-15, 2025, at the University of Edmonton in Edmonton, Alberta.

The team, consisting of Jessa Solajes Cantillas, Vince Obusan, Alyssa Berona, and Vince Faelden, competed against 19 other university and college teams from Alberta and British Columbia. Despite not making it to the finalist spots, the Acsenda team demonstrated impressive analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills while addressing a challenging HR case.

A Strong Performance Amidst Tough Competition

The case competition, judged by industry and academic professionals, required participants to tackle a complex Human Resources issue related to employee bullying, harassment, and corporate culture. Team InnoVision HR excelled in providing professional and actionable solutions, showcasing their understanding of essential HR practices and the ability to approach sensitive workplace matters with empathy and clarity.

The preparation for the competition was intense, with the team working diligently for weeks to analyze the case, strategize solutions, and refine their presentation. The students emerged as a cohesive unit, gaining invaluable experience in teamwork, critical thinking, and delivering impactful presentations under pressure.

The HR Industry in Canada: A Critical Sector for Growth and Development

These experiences are essential for students to prepare for a successful career in HR, where they can make a meaningful impact in organizations across the country.
