What documents do I need to provide the registrar department?
Documents that you need to provide registrar department:
- Passport (pages with your personal information & visa approval)
- Study permit (if you are in Canada)
- Transcripts/Grade sheets/Mark sheets/DMC’s (from all the institutions you have studied at)
- MSP(if applicable)
You can scan these documents and send them to registerar@acsenda.com. Once the campus is back to its full operations you will need to submit all your official documents in hard copy.
Can I still take the English proficiency test?
Yes, you can. Please contact our admissions teams at admissions@acsenda.com so we can help you with your case.
My study permit expired and I have applied for the extension. How do I prove my status?
You can provide us with the implied status document. This document should be sufficient to prove your status and will help us to register you for classes.
What is the number of courses I can take?
You can take 3-5 courses per term. To be a full-time student, you must take a minimum of 3 courses. If you wish to take 5 courses, that will require you to fill out a document, which will be made available to you upon request.
Can I take other courses along with EAPP100?
Yes, you are eligible to take these 3 courses: BMTH100: Introduction to Hospitality Management, BADM120: Business Math and COMP101: Computer Literacy.
How will I know Acsenda has received my documents that my previous institution has sent via mail?
When you contact our registrar department and provide your student number, they will be able to provide you with information on whether the school has received any documents.
How do I get my RST results?
For information on results for RST you can contact Garima Yadav (English studies coordinator) at Garima.yadav@acsenda.com or Admissions at admissions@acsenda.com.
How many days will I have to study?
The days of study are subjective to your course selection. Since your courses are part of a Bachelors program, the workload is set up in a manner that requires you to study for at least 6 hours outside of class.
Do I have to select a concentration before registration for courses?
Selection of concentration is an ongoing process and Acsenda is very flexible regarding choice of concentration. You can select your concentration from the start or after 3 terms at Acsenda or after taking these courses: BMRK231: Intro to Marketing, BHRM231: Intro to Human Resources, ACCT101a: Financial Accounting & BIBM101: Introduction to International Businesses.
If I provide the WES Evaluation for registration, would that be sufficient?
Yes, the WES evaluation of your previous transcripts will be sufficient as proof for registration. You will have to provide the hard copy of the evaluation once the campus is back to its full operations.
My previous institution of education is closed, what can I do to start the process?
We understand that many institutions have decided to close. We recommend that you provide us the institution’s contact information (preferably email) so we can contact them effectively.
I have been approved for a student visa but do not have a study permit. Am I still allowed to register & study?
Yes, you can still register and study. This is only applicable to students who are back in their home country and have not traveled to Canada.
I have not received my student visa but have a letter of acceptance. Can I still study?
Yes, you will allowed to register and attend classes. The continuance of you study will be subjective to approval of your study visa. You will not be penalized financially if your application for visa if refused.
Do I have to take an English proficiency exam if I have completed a pathway program?
You will be exempt from the English proficiency exam and will be eligible to be placed in the classes as detailed by the pathway program.
Can I defer to next term if I don’t feel comfortable with the changes to online classes?
Yes, you can defer to next term. The approval of deference is subjective and will be decided case by case basis.
How do I access online classes?
You can access online classes through MyASM.ca. Follow the instruction provided in the induction package to access your courses or click here.
How do I know which books or resources I need and how do I access them?
The books required for the course will be specified by your instructor through myasm.ca along with the information of how to access these books.
How do I contact the professor for questions?
You can contact your professor through email for all your queries.
Do I need medical insurance if I am in Canada?
Yes, you you are required to have medical insurance by law in Canada if are an international student. School will enroll you in GuardMe, this is an emergency only medical insurance. You should apply for MSP by then.
What is MSP?
MSP is Medical Services Plan which is a provincial plan. For more information on how to apply for MSP please lookup medical insurance under student services in MyASM.ca.
