Canada is refining its Express Entry system for 2025 to better address long-term labour shortages and support economic growth. Immigration Minister Marc Miller announced a new education category, alongside continued emphasis on candidates with Canadian work experience (Canadian Experience Class).
Priority category-based invitations will target:
- French-speaking candidates to support Francophone immigration outside Quebec.
- Professionals in health care, trades, and education, such as doctors, nurses, plumbers, and teachers.
