Acsenda Clubs Impact Award

Acsenda Clubs Impact Award

The Acsenda Club Impact Awards celebrate student leadership, initiative, and community impact each winter and summer term. Student Services organizes the Club Impact Awards to bring students, club leaders, and the Acsenda community together. The ceremony recognizes the work that strengthens student life beyond the classroom. Student clubs shape the Acsenda experience in meaningful and lasting ways. They create chances for connection, leadership growth, collaboration, and engagement. They also build a sense of belonging and shared purpose. The Club Impact Awards honour this work and highlight the dedication of student leaders and members. During the ceremony, club leaders share short reflections about their mission and achievements. They also highlight their club’s impact during the term. These spotlights help students discover the diverse initiatives happening across campus. They also showcase the creativity, resilience, and teamwork demonstrated by their peers. The event concludes with the presentation of the Club Impact Award. This award goes to one club that demonstrates outstanding leadership, engagement, and positive influence on the Acsenda community. The winning club receives the Impact Award trophy, a $300 prize, and formal recognition. Yet the ceremony also reminds everyone that impact is collective. Every club contributes to the vibrancy of student life. All club members receive certificates of appreciation to recognize their involvement and contributions. After the presentations, guests gather for a casual celebration with refreshments. This moment encourages connection, reflection, and community building. The Club Impact Awards do more than honour achievements. They highlight the power of student-led initiatives and reinforce Acsenda’s commitment to leadership, inclusion, and engagement. Most importantly, they inspire students to continue creating positive change together. 5 Reasons to Attend the Club Impact Awards Celebrate Student Leadership: Recognize the hard work, initiative, and dedication shown by student club leaders and members. Warm Hearts, Shared Closets: Clothing Donation Drive

Marketing concentration donation campaign

This winter, the Marketing Club invites you to join Warm Hearts, Shared Closets, a two-week clothing donation drive designed to make a positive impact on our community.   By donating gently used clothing, you’ll help support PHS Community Services Society, an organization dedicated to assisting vulnerable populations in Vancouver.  This initiative reflects the values we teach in our programs, including those in marketing concentration, where social responsibility and community engagement are key principles. Together, we can demonstrate how strategic giving and sustainability align with real-world business ethics.  Furthermore, we will deliver all donated clothes to PHS Community Services Society, which provides housing, healthcare, harm reduction, and health promotion for those who need it most, to celebrate the holiday season. Marketing Concentration students in Action  This campaign shows how marketing concentration principles—community engagement and social impact—apply beyond the classroom to create real change. Supporting this campaign means contributing to life-saving programs for vulnerable communities through the PHS Community Services Society, a registered charity.  Your donations promote sustainability, reduce textile waste, and show Acsenda’s commitment to compassion and ethical leadership. How to Donate  Help us make this campaign successful!   Share this event with classmates and colleagues. Together, we can make a difference.

Join Hack the Holidays: Technology Donation Drive

Share Tech, Share Hope! This holiday season, the MIS Club invites you to join Hack the Holidays, a technology donation campaign in partnership with the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA). Together, we aim to make a positive impact by providing access to technology for those in need while also promoting sustainability and social responsibility.  Give New Opportunities in the Most Secure Way First, consider why this matters: technology connects people to education, work, and essential services—yet not everyone has access. Access to technology is no longer a luxury—it’s a necessity. From applying for jobs and completing schoolwork to staying connected with loved ones, everyday tasks depend on having a computer or device. Unfortunately, many individuals and families still face barriers to this access. That’s where the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) steps in. Through its charitable computer donation program, ERA ensures that donated devices are refurbished or responsibly recycled, with secure data wiping as a top priority. By partnering with ERA, Hack the Holidays—organized by Bachelor of Management Information Systems concentration students—aims to make a positive impact through technology donations. By donating, you help bridge the digital divide and support local charities. It also promotes sustainability and social responsibility, giving communities the tools they need to thrive. In addition, this initiative promotes environmental sustainability through responsible recycling. Consequently, your contribution creates opportunities and reduces e-waste. What Can You Donate?  Devices don’t need to be fully functional—ERA will refurbish or recycle them responsibly and ensure secure data wiping.  Choose What You’ll Give: Your Devices Can Make a Difference From November 17th to December 13th, 2025, donations will be accepted during regular front desk hours at Acsenda School of Management. Simply bring your gently used devices and drop them off at the Front Desk. As a result, your contribution will make a meaningful difference this holiday season.  After you donate, the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) will collect items every two weeks, ensuring secure handling and data protection. Finally, once the campaign ends, the MIS Club will share a detailed impact report highlighting how your generosity helped our community.  Below is a list of ERA partner organizations identified as potential donation recipients. Final decisions will be made by the MIS Club after the collection period based on the amount collected. Make This Holiday Season Special—Donate Your Old Devices Today!
