Throughout his 43-year career, he has worked as a Chartered Professional Accountant and Corporate Controller in both private and corporate sectors across Saskatchewan and British Columbia. Currently, Saeed serves as a Contract Controller for more than 30 construction and development companies in BC while managing a public accounting practice in Vancouver. His leadership extends beyond business—he has been a Board Member of the Canadian Institute of Management BC and Yukon Chapter for 36 years, actively shaping the future of management professionals. Driven by a passion for education, Saeed has designed and taught accounting and financial courses at the University of Regina and Kwantlen Polytechnic University. Even as he approaches retirement, he continues to teach, serve on Program Advisory Committees, and volunteer for CPA Canada’s Financial Literacy Program, helping Canadians of all ages and backgrounds improve their financial knowledge. Theme: “A Holistic Approach to DEIB: Preparing Students for Success Michelle is a Human Resources Director and a passionate DEI speaker dedicated to building inclusive workplaces and uplifting women, families, and communities. With over 20 years of international HR leadership across four continents, she offers a global perspective on diversity and inclusion. Currently, Michelle serves as the Regional Director of Human Resources at A.P. Moller Maersk and acts as an Ambassador for DEI initiatives. She holds a Master’s in Human Resources and dual accreditations in Canada and the USA, showcasing global HR expertise. Beyond her corporate role, Michelle serves as a Board Member for the Canadian Institute of Management BC and Yukon Chapter. She also speaks on DEI topics at universities and colleges across Canada. In addition, she volunteers with community organizations such as Domestic Abuse Services, Eva’s House—a second-stage transition home for women and children fleeing abuse—and Luke 15 House, which supports individuals overcoming addiction. During his Microsoft career, John led global teams and strategic initiatives across 40+ countries, driving organizational growth. As a Chartered Manager and long-time CIM contributor, John drives chapter growth, builds academic partnerships, and strengthens national alignment.
