Graduates from Acsenda School of Management (ASM) are eligible to apply for a 3-year Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP). Effective November 1, 2024, all students applying for a PGWP will be required to follow new guidelines. This includes a requirement for graduates from all Designated Learning Institutions (DLI) across Canada to provide proof of language proficiency in one of Canada’s official languages (English or French).
New students who apply for a Study Permit after November 1, 2024 must also comply with additional requirements aligning their programs to a specific CIP Code (Classification of Instructional Programs) within a designated Field of Study when they apply for their PGWP after graduating from ASM.
NEW- Update regarding Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) eligibility for graduates of college programs in Canada. As of November 1st, 2024, graduates of college programs that grant bachelor’s or master’s degrees will no longer be required to meet the PGWP field of study requirement.
In addition, graduates will now need to provide proof of meeting the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 level, which aligns with the requirements for university degree graduates.

A factor for some international students to consider is whether your program aligns with PGWP eligibility, which may allow you to work in Canada after completing your studies. The following list shows the alignment of ASM programs with the latest PGWP guidelines from Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). All degree programs and program concentrations will have a specific CIP Code. The table below shows the appropriate CIP codes which you may need to reference. ASM will provide these codes on future correspondence, including Confirmation of Graduation letters, which you will need to apply for your PGWP.
Name of Degree (with Concentration) | CIP Code |
|---|---|
| Bachelor of Business Administration – Human Resources Management | 52.1301 |
| Bachelor of Business Administration – Management Information Systems | 52.1201 |

| Bachelor of Hospitality Management | 52.09 |
| Bachelor of Business Administration – Marketing Management | 09.0702 |

As our curriculum is continuously enhanced to reflect current needs, emerging trends and professional practices, we will review the CIP codes, which may be subject to change.
