Last Friday, we had the privilege of marking International Women’s Day (IWD) with a powerful panel discussion, “8 Women Who Inspire,” in collaboration with the Consulate General of Mexico in Vancouver. This event brought together incredible women who shared their journeys, wisdom, and perspectives on leadership, resilience, and empowerment.
The evening was filled with reflection, inspiring dialogue, and a strong commitment to celebrating the achievements of women from diverse industries. It was an unforgettable opportunity to highlight the strength and tenacity of women who continue to break barriers and inspire change every day.

Why International Women’s Day Matters
International Women’s Day (IWD) 2025 will take place this Saturday, March 8. This globally significant day serves as a reminder of the remarkable accomplishments women have made and the ongoing work required to achieve gender equity. While we’ve made strides toward gender parity, the journey is far from over.
At the current rate of progress, it may take until 2158, five generations from now, to achieve full gender parity, according to the World Economic Forum. This stark reality emphasizes the importance of IWD’s theme for 2025, #AccelerateAction. The theme calls us to take swift, decisive steps to close the gender gap and accelerate our efforts to achieve true equality.
