Effective April 1, Canada has removed pre-entry requirements for fully vaccinated travelers that have received at least two doses of the accepted vaccines by the Government of Canada.

This means that fully vaccinated travelers will no longer have the requirement to provide a pre-entry COVID-19 test result to enter Canada. However, travelers coming to Canada may be selected at random on arrival to take a COVID-19 molecular test. Travelers who are randomly tested do not need to quarantine while waiting for the result.

Who does not apply for the pre-entry requirements?

Partially and unvaccinated travelers do not meet the ‘fully vaccinated‘ requirement, for that reason they need to continue to follow the mandatory pre-entry requirements and show proof of the following:

Every traveler despite their situation, exemptions, or status is required to submit their information in the ArriveCAN app before coming to Canada. Travelers who do not complete their information on the ArriveCAN app might be required to take a COVID-19 test on arrival and quarantine for a period of 14 days, regardless of their vaccination status.

What are some things to keep in mind before your flight to Canada?
