At Acsenda School of Management, we are proud to present Leo Cohen, one of our Marketing student workers and the creative talent behind many of our amazing videos, who is making remarkable strides in the film industry. His journey is an inspiring example of how passion, education, and opportunity can come together to turn dreams into reality.

Leonardo (Leo), a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) student in the Marketing Management concentration, hails from Mexico, where he earned his degree from Universidad de Medios Audiovisuales (CAAV) before moving to Vancouver, widely known as “Hollywood North” for its booming film and television production industry.

By pursuing his BBA in Marketing Management at Acsenda, Leo has successfully combined his creative expertise with strategic business and marketing skills, positioning himself to excel in both the creative and business sides of the entertainment industry.

From the Classroom to the Film Set

This past July, Leonardo was part of the RNG Main Event 2025 — Run N Gun 48 Hour Competition, an intense challenge where participants have just two days to create, shoot, and edit a short film. His team, Team Claquetón, produced Los Que Limpian (Cleaners) 1:07:12, a compelling short film that won the award for Best Student Film.

The competition showcased Leo’s ability to work under pressure, lead creatively, and collaborate effectively, skills he continues to refine both in his studies and as part of Acsenda’s marketing team.

Dreams Without Borders

Leo’s story is proof that dreams can be accomplished anywhere. Whether starting a career in Mexico, Canada, or anywhere else in the world, determination, creativity, and networking can open doors to incredible opportunities.

Vancouver’s film industry is one of the largest in North America, offering students like Leo the chance to work alongside major studios, independent filmmakers, and visionary creators. His award-winning work is a reminder that when you combine education with passion, your potential has no limits.

Congratulations to Leonardo Cohen and Team Claquetón for their outstanding achievement. We can’t wait to see more of Leo’s creative contributions, both on the big screen and here at Acsenda.
