BADM320 – Managing Diversity
Studies found that effective diversity management in organizations has a direct and positive impact on economic productivity and intergroup relationships in society. This course reviews various theories and research findings in social and organizational psychology on diversity management and examines how diversity management and inclusion take place across multiple levels — at the organizational, group or team, and interpersonal and individual levels.
An integral part of the course includes reviewing relevant empirical findings and considering how the dynamics of workgroup relations are affected by various diversity dimensions among group members. As well, it entails looking at leadership variables that impact on the design and implementation of policies and practices for inclusive organizations.
