Celebrating Excellence: Acsenda Leaders Recognized by ASQ Vancouver

We are thrilled to share that our President, Neil Mort, and MIS Program Director, Kevin Fraser, have recently received appreciation awards from ASQ Vancouver. Each year, ASQ Vancouver honors its members for their significant contributions to the quality community across the province, and we couldn’t be prouder of our leaders for this well-deserved recognition!

The American Society for Quality (ASQ) is a prestigious global organization with members in over 130 countries. It unites professionals passionate about using their tools, ideas, and expertise to enhance quality and improve the world. Acsenda School of Management has cultivated a strong relationship with ASQ Vancouver, one of the largest ASQ sections in Canada, driven by local members dedicated to fostering a culture of quality.

Over the past five years, Acsenda has proudly partnered with ASQ Vancouver in hosting its annual conferences, including Canada’s first hybrid-format conference in 2022, which attracted over 100 attendees. We played a vital role in managing the virtual conferences in 2020 and 2021, ensuring that quality discussions continued despite the challenges posed by the pandemic. This year, we hosted the first-ever virtual student conference for ASQ Student Chapters worldwide, showcasing our commitment to engaging students in quality management.

Our students have been instrumental in developing the marketing strategy and campaign for ASQ Vancouver, significantly enhancing its social visibility. In 2022, we made history by becoming the first college in Western Canada to launch an ASQ Student Chapter, providing students with opportunities to engage with the quality community. Many of our faculty members proudly affiliate with this esteemed organization, further strengthening our ties to the field of quality management.

Currently, the ASQ Student Branch at Acsenda is seeking enthusiastic student volunteers passionate about quality management. This unique opportunity is designed for individuals committed to advancing their expertise in this vital area. Prospective candidates will undergo an interview process to ensure their skills align with the needs of the ASQ Student Branch.

If you’re interested in joining this exciting initiative, please reach out to Kevin Fraser at kevin.fraser@acsenda.com to arrange an interview.

Join us in congratulating Neil Mort and Kevin Fraser for their outstanding achievements, and consider becoming part of our vibrant quality management community at Acsenda!
