Transportation Grant

At Acsenda, we recognize it is an uncertain time for many students looking to come to Canada. New and returning students who are travelling to Canada will have to undergo a 14-day quarantine period upon their arrival.

Acsenda is an institution that strongly believes in supporting our students through ongoing assistance and accommodation efforts, which is why we will cover the cost of the taxi / transportation when you arrive at the Vancouver airport to take you to the place you will be staying for your self-isolation period.

This is just one of a number of initiatives Acsenda has introduced since the start of the COVID-19 situation, in order to support our students and their long-term educational ambitions in Canada.

To qualify for the grant, you must:

– have submitted an approved travel plan to Acsenda
– use a recognized transportation service (taxi or ride-sharing)
– provide an official receipt submitted along with the airline ticket

You can apply for your grant online through MyASM. Once these requirements are met, a credit will be applied to your student account.

We look forward to another amazing term and we can’t wait to see you on campus soon!

Covid-19 Testing Quarantine Grant

The government of Canada has announced new measures for travelers arriving in the country:

  1. A new mandatory PCR (polymerase chain reaction) testing requirement at airports.
  2. Travelers will be required to quarantine for up to three days at a designated hotel while they wait for their COVID-19 test result. The hotel costs will be at the expense of the travelers, which could cost around $2000.

Acsenda is seeking clarification as to whether this new restriction will apply to international students. Acsenda recognizes this additional expense may present a significant burden to students.

In the interest of supporting our students, in the case our students are required to pay additional accommodation charges while awaiting the test result, Acsenda will provide a grant of up to $1500 to help with these additional hotel costs.

As well, as per our Airport Transportation Relief Grant, Acsenda will cover all airport-hotel transportation costs (up to $75 CAD).
