On March 6, 2025, Acsenda’s Management Information Systems (MIS) Club hosted an insightful event titled “Know Your IT Specialization” at Room 223. The session attracted students eager to learn about the various opportunities and career paths in the ever-evolving field of Information Technology.
The event kicked off with a thought-provoking presentation from Arunim Garg, an experienced lecturer at Acsenda School of Management. Arunim shared valuable insights into the growing field of Artificial Intelligence, highlighting its potential and the certifications that can propel students into successful careers. He also offered a glimpse into his own educational and corporate journey, inspiring attendees with stories of his experiences and the lessons he learned along the way. His passion for AI and the opportunities within it left students motivated to explore the subject further.
During his talk, Arunim emphasized the importance of independent learning, stating, “Proving that you can do research autonomously is an essential soft skill in academia and industry.” His words resonated with students, reinforcing the value of being proactive and self-driven in both academic and professional settings.
Shizar Zarbafian, another esteemed MIS lecturer, took the stage next to discuss various careers in Data Analytics, Web and Application Development, and Computer Programming. Shizar not only shared his educational and professional background but also showcased some of the applications he has worked on. This hands-on approach helped students understand how theoretical knowledge is directly applied in the real world, providing them with a clearer vision of what they can achieve with the right skills.
Shizar also shared his perspective on the future of programming, stating, “Programming will never be extinct. It will continue to evolve, tailored to fit the needs of every field in our daily lives.” His insight helped students understand that programming is an enduring and adaptable skill that will remain vital as technology continues to advance.
The event was not only a valuable learning experience for MIS students but also for students from other programs, who left feeling energized and encouraged about their own academic journeys.
