The government of Canada has announced new measures for travelers arriving in the country:

1. A new mandatory PCR (polymerase chain reaction) testing requirement at airports.

2. Travelers will be required to quarantine for up to three days at a designated hotel while they wait for their COVID-19 test result. The hotel costs will be at the expense of the travelers, which could cost around $2000.

Acsenda is seeking clarification as to whether this new restriction will apply to international students.

Acsenda recognizes this additional expense may present a significant burden to students.

In the interest of supporting our students, in the case our students are required to pay additional accommodation charges while awaiting the test result, Acsenda will provide a grant of up to $1500 to help with these additional hotel costs.

As well, as per our Airport Transportation Relief Grant, Acsenda will cover all airport-hotel transportation costs (up to $75 CAD).

Recognizing of these difficult times, Acsenda remains committed to supporting the academic ambitions of our students.

We look forward to another amazing term and we cannot wait to welcome new students to our campus again soon.
