Senior Director, Student Recruitment

Sumit Agarwal is an experienced international education and enrolment management professional, bringing in a decade-long experience in the fields of student recruitment and services, agent network management and strategic partnerships. Before joining our team, Sumit used to work at University Canada West (British Columbia), and established the Office of Academic Advising there, managing a team of six academic advisors.

In the past, Sumit has worked with institutions like Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (Alberta), Vancouver Island University (British Columbia), King’s University College @ Western University (Ontario) and Algonquin College (Ontario), helping them set up successful recruitment operations in India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Nepal, along with managing the recruitment from the Middle East and Africa.

Sumit holds a BA Honours degree in Journalism from the University of Delhi, India. He has also been an international student in Canada, having taken a Graduate Certificate in TV News Journalism from Fanshawe College in Ontario. Interestingly, before becoming an education management professional, Sumit has been a television journalist in India for almost 10 years.

Currently based in Metro Vancouver, Sumit loves to travel, meet people, understand different cultures and try different kinds of cuisines. When at home, and not working, Sumit loves to spend time with family, especially his four-year-old son.
