Pedro Cortina  (BPhil, MEd, EdD.)

Pedro Cortina has served in the post-secondary educational community for over 20 years. He began his career working in one of Mexico’s top Business Schools before acquiring a diverse educational management background as Registrar, Director of Admissions, Dean of Student Services, and President of several post-secondary educational organizations in British Columbia.

Pedro Cortina currently serves as Chair of the Private Degree-Granting Institutions Association of British Columbia. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Economics from Universidad Iberoamericana, a Master’s in Educational Administration and Leadership from the University of British Columbia as well as a Doctorate in Educational Entrepreneurship from the University of Calgary. He is also a graduate of the Finance Program for Senior Executives at Oxford University in the UK.

In his career, Pedro has focused on educational leadership and entrepreneurship in the post-secondary sector. Born and raised in Mexico City, Pedro moved to Vancouver 20 years ago and has been active in several educational initiatives and start-ups. He has also travelled extensively throughout the world.
