Dr Nicholas A. Rubidge (B.Sc., M.A., Ph.D.)
Dr. Nicholas Rubidge has a background in providing senior leadership in post-secondary education in the province of BC, built on a foundation as a research consultant, program planner and administrator. He has participated in a variety of international educational venues including representing Canada at the South East Asia Ministers of Education Organization, participating in the Canadian Ministers of Education meeting and the Common-Wealth Ministers of Education meetings. Dr. Rubidge was the only Canadian selected to participate in a team of international experts chosen to advise on the reconstruction of the post-secondary system in Vietnam.
Dr. Rubidge was seconded by the provincial government to act as the founding Vice-President of Royal Roads University. Dr. Rubidge has over 40 years of experience in the post-secondary system in BC Canada and the international community.
Until recently Dr. Rubidge was the vice chair of the managing board for the Ontario Colleges Quality Assurance Service, having served three terms on the board. He also served 12 years on the Degree Quality Assessment Board (DQAB) for BC ending in 2018.
Dr. Nicholas Rubidge holds a Bachelor of Science – Agriculture from the Wye College, London University, England (1968), a Master of Science in Agricultural Economics, specializing in extension from the University of BC, Vancouver (1971) and also a Doctorate in Adult Education with research interests in learning and instructional style congruence from the University of BC, Vancouver. Dr. Rubidge is currently an advising member of Acsenda School of Management Inc Academic Council. He is also serving on the Acsenda School of Management advising committee for a Master in Management degree program being introduced at the College.
